Tours For Teachers

If you are an educator looking to integrate architecture into your lessons, consider a professional development tour. During this three hour tour we will walk through Lower Manhattan, learning about the new York City while practicing teaching methods to use architecture with students. The strategies can be used with all grade levels to apply architecture from any time period or place, so you don’t need to be studying New York City to use them.

Everything we practice throughout the tour does not require a background in architecture to use with students. The financial district also gives us the unique opportunity to see sites built for the same purpose at different time periods, illustrating a great lesson on how architectural changes can teach students about history.

Dates and tickets for our tours for teachers are avaliable in the Book a Tour section. Three hours of professional development credit are provided for attendees on the tour.

Edutecture can also run a private tour for a school/department by appointment. Professional development training sessions about using architecture in a classroom can also be offered on-site at schools by appointment. Please reach out through using Contact Us or email us at to get more information.
